High Impact Training had been using a tri-fold marketing brochure to promote their featured educators for years. The piece featured all their available speakers on a single page listing; perhaps more of a grocery list than a showcase piece. Owner Mark Geller felt it was time for a fresh approach; one that would highlight the speaker roster in a way that would elevate the authority and clout of speakers in the minds of audiences.
When supplies ran low on the old piece, Mark encouraged his long-time designer
Peg Churchwell, of Lady Dog Design, to try something new. They discussed new approaches and together they talked with Diane Hageman of
Hageman Communications for content ideas. Diane suggested that the new brochure showcase one speaker per spread to feature their unique qualities and dynamic qualities through the use of action photos and personal testimonials.
Peg took the new, small square booklet idea to Kristin at Continental Press (CPI). Kristin suggested a variety of options, including a 6x6 format for maximized savings in both the printing and mailing processes.
As the design came together, Peg worked with Kristin at CPI to create a clean, fresh piece. A considerable amount of black and bright colors were utilized, so both Peg and Kristin were concerned about even coverage. CPI suggested that “Rich Black” be utilized, rather than regular black, to ensure even coverage. The project was carefully monitored every step of the way, multiple press checks were conducted, and they delivered a perfect, beautiful piece.
Brochure in hand, it was clear that the trust in CPI was well deserved.
